We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler & Materials Planner to support efficient production and delivery operations. This role is responsible for coordinating daily and weekly production schedules, monitoring materials and inventory needs, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure smooth workflow from start to finish.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring products move efficiently through production while maintaining accuracy, quality, and timelines. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and values operational organization.
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling
- Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet demand and delivery timelines
- Adjust schedules based on capacity, material availability, and changing priorities
Materials Planning & Inventory
- Coordinate material availability and forecast upcoming inventory needs
- Partner with Purchasing to ensure raw materials and components are available on time
- Track inventory flow including raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods
Operations & Workflow Support
- Stage materials and products for production runs
- Maintain accurate records of production status, labor utilization, and material usage
- Support quality and inspection processes throughout production stages
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Assist with documentation and process improvements related to scheduling, inspections, and returns
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, purchasing, and operations teams
- Identify and resolve workflow or inventory issues proactively
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, materials planning, inventory, or manufacturing operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Associate’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite
- Experience in a product-based or manufacturing environment
- Active production or warehouse environment
- May include noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
