About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to lead our financial operations and support the company’s strategic objectives. This is a key leadership position responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all financial functions. The Controller will work closely with the executive team to provide strategic insights, ensure compliance, and drive financial performance.
This fully on-site role provides the opportunity to work directly with company leadership and collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and confident managing complex financial processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight
Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting per company policies and accounting standards
Develop and maintain financial strategies that support the company’s growth and operational goals
Monitor cash flow and manage financial risk, forecasting, and financial modeling
Documentation and Compliance
Establish and maintain accounting procedures and internal control guidelines
Implement processes to reduce financial risk and ensure operational efficiency
Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting and regulatory requirements
Reporting and Analysis
Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports
Collaborate with auditors, providing required documentation and insights during audits
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Deliver financial performance analysis with a focus on capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract evaluations
Team Leadership
Lead and manage accounting team personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide coaching, support, and direction to staff
Initiate and manage employee discussions related to performance and discipline as needed
Additional Duties
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the organization’s financial and operational objectives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
CPA certification is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Deep understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
Proficiency in financial systems, accounting software, and ERP platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
