Shar Music is a leading retailer serving musicians, educators, and students worldwide. We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to support shipping, fulfillment, and inventory operations at our Ann Arbor location.
In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety standards. Our warehouse team plays a critical role in ensuring every order is handled with care and precision.
This position is open to candidates with varying levels of experience and offers clear opportunities to grow into more advanced responsibilities over time within a structured warehouse team.

- Must be available for occasional Saturday shifts
Core Responsibilities (All Levels)
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming inventory
- Stock shelves and maintain warehouse organization
- Use handheld scanners and inventory management systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Inspect items and report damages or discrepancies
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and fulfillment goals
- Pack and ship specialty items, including instruments and trial shipments
- Assist with large orders and pallet shipments
- Support international shipping processes
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy
- Assist in receiving and returns processing
- Support additional warehouse projects such as labeling, outfitting, or product handling
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (or obtain certification)
- Support weekend or opening/closing procedures as needed
- Support or lead specialized areas such as receiving, returns, or inventory control
- Process purchase orders and inventory transactions using warehouse systems
- Investigate and resolve order or inventory discrepancies
- Assist cross-functional teams such as customer service or sales with order-related issues
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Generate reports and utilize warehouse systems to support operations
- Assist in training or guiding team members as needed
- Support warehouse opening/closing procedures and operational oversight
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow directions and work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with warehouse or inventory systems such as NetSuite
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience handling fragile or specialty items such as musical instruments
- Experience with musical instruments is a plus
- Active warehouse environment requiring standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season
